Website Terms of Use

These terms apply to your use of the Rural Footprint website. Please read them before using the site.

Draft: Draft for client and legal review — not approved for final publication.

1. Who provides this website

This website is operated by [Client legal entity to be confirmed], of [Registered or geographic address to be confirmed]. The operator's legal identity has not yet been confirmed and must be inserted before publication.

The website-design credit in the footer identifies the design supplier only. It does not make that company the operator, publisher, owner or data controller of this website or of the Rural Footprint content. Participating associations are not the operator of this website unless separately stated.

2. Acceptance

By using this website you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, please do not use the site.

3. Staging status

This is a staging version of the website, published for review. Content, figures and questionnaires are drafts and may change. Survey submission and contact-form sending are disabled, and nothing entered into either interface is submitted to us.

4. Permitted use

  • You may view, download and print pages for your own information, research or internal reference.
  • You may quote short extracts of published findings provided Rural Footprint is credited and the meaning is not distorted.
  • You may not misuse the site, attempt to gain unauthorised access, interfere with its operation, or scrape it in a way that places an unreasonable load on it.
  • You may not submit false, misleading or automated survey responses, or content that is unlawful, defamatory or infringing.

5. Intellectual property

Rights in the website content, branding and published research are reserved. The Rural Footprint name, logo and brand assets may not be used without permission; the current ownership position for the logo is recorded separately and is [Brand ownership and transfer to be confirmed]. Third-party material is used only where permitted.

6. Accuracy of content

Information is provided for general information and research purposes. While we take care with published evidence, content on this staging site is draft and may contain errors, placeholders or figures that have not yet been verified. It is not professional, legal or financial advice and should not be relied on as such.

Where we link to other organisations, we do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content, availability or privacy practices.

8. Availability

We aim to keep the site available but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may change, suspend or withdraw any part of the site at any time.

9. Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the operator is not liable for any loss arising from use of, or reliance on, this website or its content. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. Final liability wording is [Awaiting legal review].

10. Privacy and cookies

Personal data is handled as described in the Privacy Notice, and device storage as described in the Cookie Policy.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The date at the top of the page shows when they were last revised, and continued use of the site after a change means you accept the revised terms.

12. Governing law

These terms are intended to be governed by the laws of Ireland, with the courts of Ireland having jurisdiction. Confirmation of the governing-law and jurisdiction clause is [Awaiting legal review].
